Today's car was a regular customer although I did something new for him. I've never done his car with ONR since this is new to me, and took him a while to believe I wasn't going to put scratches in his Viper, but after a bit of education he was ready to see the results. ONR worked as most report, great! Next I broke out my little sample of OCW I just received from AG, and got the microfiber ready. My first impression was "hmm this is to easy" and after 10 minutes and doing his whole car I told him I was done waxing it. He was a little shocked since most of the time I have to break out my orbital and put on a coat. I'm not sure about the durability but the bottle said up to 5 months. If he gets a month of out it with how easy it was to apply I'll be happy to put it on every month! What a time saver! No streaking, easy application and removal, its like cheating the system! To anyone that's mobile like myself, do yourself a big favor, get a sample, try it, then like myself you will be buying a gallon!

I just got a gallon of this after watching Anthony apply it with a paint gun as I knew that I would be doing the same once I open my shop. But for now I'm applying it via spray bottle diluted 1:1. My initial impression was when I sprayed it on that it wasn't going to dry evenly. I didn't want to mess up my test by rubbing it smooth with an applicator so I left it on overnight without touching it. The next day when I came to look at it man did it shine and was perfectly even! Most impressed with it, great gel I'll be using from now on! Btw it's been a week since I've used it and its still very nice even through light raining.

I've always loved optimums metal polish even the old pink formula, but I gotta ask what kinda protection is in the new formula??? I did this customers car a little before Christmas which was 6 months ago. Came to them yesterday the thing looked in rough shape so I asked when was the last time they had it washed, and the response was the last time I had did it. Ok no problem, went about cleaning the rims first and they were still beading/sheeting water like I just polished the rims last week. I was shocked to say the least to see the protection still there, although I'm sure some of this factor was that no harsh chemicals were used to clean the rims as they hadn't been cleaned since the last time I was there but still that's amazing to last 6 months! I usually keep my maintenance customer rims polished regularly so I've never gotten to see long term protection results, but this was impressive. About how long has anyone else noticed the protection to last?

Welcome to the forums, and I love that blackberry pearl, pretty sweet color when the suns hitting it right! Good luck with the polishing and if the poliseal cant take out the defects try the hyper polish, it works well on that color paint, not sure about the red 2005 stang but I'm sure the hyper polish would rock that also!

Scott, I agree, I've been rocking out the jobs with GPS, rupes and optimum mf pads! Are you topping it with ocw or opti seal?

Man the reflections are looking nice & glossy even on white! Great job.

I've never experimented a bunch of ways, I just know it works well for me when I spray opc on, let sit for about 20 seconds and wash off with onr.

I understand what you're saying, I've seen the difference. But from a chemical standpoint of why its that way, probably only Dr.G could answer that. I know it's had no effect on the performance of the product ime.

I've only had one customer cover his car post application like you, he's never reported any problems.

Setec, Chris will have to give the official answers, but I've been using in on trim quite a bit. Spreads far like opticoat with a little better resto property vs opti coat.

Welcome to the forums! If youre testing id try out GPS topped with the wax or opti seal, both are a great combo! As far as the polishes what are you using now? The hyper compound and polish are super user friendly, easy removal and no dusting. I can tell you how it'll perform vs what you're using once I know what that is

This forum is geared toward everyone, there's tons of members that just love to detail their own cars. Opti lens can also be used on trim, so once you coat your lights, coat the trim also
