Trying new things

Recommended Posts

I've been washing and waxing my own vehicles since a teenager.  Now I'm a grandfather and have high school friends that are great grandfathers.  But I want to do new things but I've got a lot of questions and forums give me insight to answers.  Always nice to see what others have tried to do both successfully and the "not so much".   I'm in Kentucky so my weather exposures are different throughout the year.  Now, I have a black SRX, silver CTS, Midnight XT5, and white Tacoma Limited.  I have in storage a BMW 740il and a 530i.  I've got a gallon of Optimum Spray wax that has about 2/3 left but it has separated with some wax clumps.  Agitation is not making it dissolve.  I'm trying an ultrasonic cleaner where I can partially submerge the jug.  Is there an additive I can use to help liquify the wax?

Welcome to the forum.  Ron (the Moderator) will probably be able to help with the wax.  My wild guess is maybe some mild, indirect heat might help?

Being a grandfather is the best job I ever had and much less stressful than being a parent.

Welcome to the Optimum Forum.  Spray Wax can separate over time - you can try adding some water to see if the clumps dissolve and heating can also help.
