MONKEYBUTT
A friend is going to buy a used car next week. The dealer is having the car painted before she settles the deal. How long before the new paint can be waxed etc.?
Ron Harris
Because the Optimum spray wax is a water base formula she can use this right away. I would give the paint a month before you apply any Opti-Seal or Poli-Seal.

Bunky
Thanks Ron, for the quick reply. When I had my truck re-painted, the body shop and the Sherwin-Williams paint rep (happened to be there when I picked it up the second time) said 90 days. I am sure this is on the conservative but I do not know if paint curing is how much ambient temperature, etc. affects curing.
