yardman
I am scheduled to have the Opticpat Pro installed in a few days. A friend of mine commented that he had a similiar product applied last year. In the end he found that pollen that fell onto his black truck had "burned" into the coating and left a haze. He tried to get it covered by the warranty and was told the warranty does not cover pollen. Now he does not recall what brand coating it was but decided given our excessive pollen in the spring to stick with regular waxing. So my question is this - What impact does pollen have on Opticoat? At most I can only wash my vehicle once a week and it does sit outside a lot.
Doctor G
Opti-Coat is not affected by pollen and the warranty does cover any damage caused from pollen or other environmental contaminants. Weekly washes should be more than sufficient to avoid contaminants from bonding to Opti-Coated surfaces.
