Nutbread
Just got a new vehicle with a few chrome shiny bits I would like to Opti-Coat. Especially the wheels and grille to protect against brake dust and bugs respectively. I plan on polishing with Optimum metal polish first. My question is, after polishing what should I use to wipe down the chrome prior to the application of OC? IIRC a water dampened MF is sufficient for Optimum's paint polishes, but what about the metal polish? If this goes well, I plan on Opti-Coating the rest of the vehicle. Perfections Detail
If tried polishing with the metal polish and using a wet towel afterwards to remove the protection it didn't work, I had to strip the chrome, used dawn followed by ipa dilution.
