HERNAN PAWCENIS
Hi everyone, this is my first post. I have a question. In a hypotetical event of a repaint. The prep sanding would remove the coating, right? What about the panels or sectors that are just scuffed?
Perfections Detail
Scuffing usually is used in preparation for painting and would at a very least damage the coating. So I'd just reapply to the whole car after repairs are complete. Welcome to the forums
sscully
If are you going to recoat the whole car ( or at least the panels that were done ) take a search on how to prep the surface for a layer after curing. I want to say Hyper Polish was the suggested, but search this sub forum for layer, you will find 2 or 3 threads from Chris that describe the process to coating after cured. - If the surface is not prep'd after curing, the layer will not stick to the underlying OC.
