jay7456
Just got my car back with a new coating of Opti-coat pro plus, it has already been a day since the coating was applied..I know I have to hold off on washing for 7 days or so, but what do i do if it rains during that period? Do i hose off any dirt and dry it with a microfiber towel? or just let it be for the 7 days. Not sure if I have to clean it if it rains. Or if i'm at work and it sits outside for 6-8 hours after raining...it will be sunny and 80 for the next 2 days before it supposed to rain so I just want to make sure. I'm assuming I shouldn't use any quick detail either? Thank you guys!
Ron@Optimum
I answered this via email, but we don't recommend drying without some chemical protection. Rain will not effect Opti-Coat Pro+ and will only spot if it mixes with minerals (dirt) on your paint. In a timely fashion you can use a leaf blower to remove the water. You can use instant detailer as a drying aid, but the less you mess with the coating for 7 days the better.
