I remember seeing on videos that Ivan has done that you are not supposed to get Gloss Coat wet for someting like six days or it will water spot horribly. Is that true for glass coat and lens coat? Ron@Optimum Posted February 19, 2019 Share Posted February 19, 2019 all coatings are susceptible to water spotting because water beads on the surface (but "horribly" is an overstatement) - all 3 coatings can get wet an hour after application, but to avoid spotting, dry hard water before it bakes on and/or apply sealant to provide a sacrificial layer. The 6 days (really 7 days) is before washing with solvents (soap). All 3 Coatings can be driven an hour after application, regardless of weather...
