berchman
Nine days ago my new car was coated with Pro 3 and a top layer of Pro+. It was not topped with Hyper Seal. Ideally, should the car not be exposed to rain for 30 days until the coating is fully cured? It is garaged and driven, but so far not when the weather report predicts rain. Ron@Optimum
the only restriction after your car is released is no washing with soap for 7 days - you can drive in rain now.

And no impact on the coating completely curing if I "wash" it with Opti-Coat No Rinse before the 30 days are up?
Ron@Optimum
I'm not sure where the "30 day cure time" misinformation came from (and it's a commonly held misconception), but the coating is surface cured enough to drive in any weather in 12 hours. The only caveat is no soap for 7 days...any curing is internal and has no effect from external conditions.

After it’s fully cured, I’m told that the color will appear as though it had gotten deeper/darker.
Ron@Optimum
it is fully cured now, and the color/shine can deepen but that happens in the 48/72 hours after coating. After that the only change is the chemical resistance increases (the reason for no soap for 7 days).

Ron@Optimum
ONR can be used prior to the 7 days but only for a light cleanup, like bugs/water spots, no reason to do a full wash before the chemical cure period is over.
