Chemical Compatibility

I read somewhere that one needs to use Optimum products to maintain chemical compatibility with Opti-Coat ceramic coatings. These coatings are made up of SiC rather than SiO2. Is there any substance to this claim or can one freely use, for example, McKee's 914 or DIY Detail's Rinseless Wash without creating problems with one's Optimum ceramic coating?

Obviously we recommend Optimum products to maintain Opti-Coat Pro ceramics, but all coatings are extremely chemically resistant and other manufacturers products work.  Not all Optimum ceramics are SiC, some are SiO2, and some are hybrid combinations of both.
