maxepr1@gmail.com
New client, wanted to see what I could with his paint. Being a Porsche, they generally have soft paint, so I was expecting big things! I settled on the Flex DA and OPT MF Polishing pad with OPT HP/D301. This combo is deadly on softer paints, cuts perfectly and there is no hazing left behind! Even in a 1 stepper you can obtain 2 step corrections! Customer was really pleased and I had a steady flow of his club friends coming over while I was working to make appointments! Enjoy! beetlevw72
So, do you actually mix the HP and D301 on the pad? Does a IPA or OPC wipedown strip the protection qualities of the D301 so it can be opti coated?
maxepr1@gmail.com
Beetle, I do 1 or 2 sprays of OHP and just 2 or 3 dots of D301. I generally do a ONR wash or a IPA wipedown before applying OPT Coat. I am using the the D301 for the anti-hazying properties.
beetlevw72
Ah, very cool! Thank you for explaining. I'm going to be buying some more OPT stuff soon (mf pads) so I may try my polish II mixed with D301. Yeah, I'm sure the IPA makes quick work of anything left behind
