CHALM Posted October 30, 2012 Share Posted October 30, 2012 I did a very neglected Miata this past weekend. Owner wanted only a one step polish and Opti Coat. On some panels I did cheat...change up to aggressive pads as needed, then worked back down. However, I only used the Hype Polish and was able to finish down to LSP ready. It wasn't close to perfect, but did way better than I expected and brought a smile to his face. I'll let the pictures do the talking....another reason why I am OPT from here on out. Joel Blake Posted November 2, 2012 Share Posted November 2, 2012 I find the combo that works for me almost every time on the rotary is Lake Country's black foam and Hyper Polish. Start at 1200-1500RPM and finish at 600-900RPM. General swirl marks will be gone, no holograms and just the remains of deeper scratches which is what you expect from a single step.
