D.T.
Gloss reading off the hood started at 94 & jumped to 118 after polishing & coating. Heijneker and Ron@Optimum
Jayk82
Looks great! I'll be applying Gloss Coat to my similar colored Model Y in a few weeks. D.T.
Heijneker
Holy macaronies! 118 is insane, did you do a comparison between the Angelwax and Hyper Polish in terms of gloss? D.T.
D.T.
Yes, a quick second step polish with angelwax did clarify the finish a bit, with an increase of 6 GU. I believe the flatness of the orange peel on the vehicle has a lot to do with the high gloss readings as well. This vehicle has a real smooth / flat finish. For me - polishing with a rotary helps to achieve great gloss - even though I own a DA polisher, I always reach for the rotary. Now - gloss coat is my go to coating. I've payed around with others, and I have one I'm required to use at work, but Gloss Coat is my favorite. D.T.
