Brett
Used OS a while back..several years ago. Thinking about going all Optimum, so some questions. What's the best applicator to use? Foam, MF? How long should one wait before topping with OCW? Lastly, any issues with using GPS and immediately topping with OS? Thanks so much!
Brett
Chris...any issue laying OCW over OOS after it's flashed and cured about 15 minutes? Thanks. Those applicators look sweet.
Dr Oldz
Chris, should you wait for PS to cure or can you just apply OC immediatey after using PS? Thanks, Jim

Islandson81
I did mean OS. Thanks Chris. I had a "I forgot my Opti-? Moment!" I had the same problem when I first heard of Optimum products. "Opti-This", "Opti-That", "Opti-The Other Thing". Dazed and Confused, man! But now that I'm a bit more 'seasoned' so to speak, I'm now able to decipher the "Optimum Code". Islandson81
It's gonna get worse in the next few months. I know of 3-4 new products coming up that'll be called Opti-xxxxx Opti-GlassShield? Opti-PermaGel Tire Gel? Opti-open-yer-wallets-cuz-you're-gonna-want-to-add-this-to-your-shopping-cart?
Guest Driven Auto Detail
It's gonna get worse in the next few months. I know of 3-4 new products coming up that'll be called Opti-xxxxx Chris, any chance you can shed some insight on these new Opti-xxxx products? By the way, one more question. As far as protection is concerned, does GPS or OCW offer more/longer protection? Obviously, OCW on top of GPS would be easy enough, but I'm just curious about it from an independent standpoint of the two.
Paul S
Will the new products be introduced before or at SEMA ?

A&J
Today was the first time I ever used opti-seal. I used it as a drying aid to ONR, so I washed with ONR, sprayed the panel with opti-seal and wiped with a towel. It spread beautifully and was really easy to use. Any remaining residue was just buffed with the dry side of the towel. Now my questions are: 1) What approximate durability can I expect from opti-seal used this way? The car is parked in the open 24/7. 2) Does ONR affect the bonding and durability of opti-seal? Im guessing not and think it is just a carrier. 3) How long do I have to wait for it to cure before I can top it with OCW? 4) I ussualy wash my car every 3 weeks or so with ONR. Can I use opti-seal every time as a drying aid or is it too often? More questions may arise but that is for now

Here in the UK, I get roughly 2 months from Opti-seal, my car is also out in the open 24/7. Others have reported longer so maybe the colder/damper climate of the UK reduces durability 2. Not noticed any problems with ONR, maybe the mildness helps maintain the durability compared to some of the stronger shampoo's 3. I am sure Chris has said you can top immediately, I do 4. One of the strange things about Optiseal is no matter how often you use it, the amount of liquid in the bottle does not seem to change so if you fancy using it every week or month I cannot imagine it would do anything other than keep topping up the gloss

A&J
Thats what i was thinking too...it works great as a drying aid but the fact it is used with onr it gets diluted so it can affect durability on the long run. Same with ocw im guessing? Considering i use one or the other as a drying aid once a month im not that botherded by the loss of durability. Ron@Optimum
can't speak to the durability of Opti-Seal since it's become part of my wash routine as a drying aid, I use it every 2 - 4 weeks. And like you, I cannot use up an 8 oz bottle (should last 20-30 car washes) and have used it on my pontoon, hot tub, tvs, shower, and stainless appliances...
